Details

A mix of double track and tight twisty single track. Lots of roots, but not many rocks on the singletrack sections. Double track is mostly maintained by golf course lawn equipment, so relatively smooth. Singletrack very tight and twisty, which provides a great workout. Lots of short ups and downs. Most of the local mtbers do a lolli pop shapped loop with an out and back in the beginning and a loop at the end that will take you to the back near the golf course and back. THis will give you a little shy of 5 miles, but feels like much much more. THe out and back is full of fun little rollers. You could combine the double track and single track to make many different loops. Trail signage is scarce, for now, but its a small park surrounded by a neighborhood, a road, a golf course, and open farm land. There is a large map at the kiosk/trail head and sometimes maps available to take with you. Park Closes at Dusk and night riding is not allowed. No camping in Ben Hawes SP but relatively close there are multiple hotels, windy hallow campgrounds, and diamond lake campgrounds.
